In the aftermath of a fire that destroyed Aries II, a 42’ lobster boat, [on September 9], Marshfield harbormaster Mike DiMeo said there appears to be no measurable damage to the environment based on tests conducted since the incident.
DiMeo who was on the scene during the overnight hours between September 8 to September 9 and then again in the morning said steps were taken to contain any hazardous waste and protect the natural habitat, particularly the nearby clam flats.
