This recent Facebook photo posted by Sea Tow Central Connecticut piqued our curiosity, so we contacted franchise owner Captain Tom Kehlenbach for some background on the curious image.

Here’s his response:

“Here at Sea Tow, we salvage more than boats! This golf cart was missing from the Fenwick Golf Course in Old Saybrook. It was discovered by some kids jumping off the pier when one of them landed on the roof. Luckily, no one was hurt. When the association needed the cart removed from the water, they called Sea Tow.

“When our diver found the missing cart it was on its wheels, so we used the winch on the front of my truck to drag it out. I had the diver sit in it on the way out to steer—and because I thought it would be funny.

“All in a day’s work for Sea Tow!”
