SeacoastOnline: The Seabrook Harbor dredging project has come to a close, and on Thursday the Army Corps of Engineers informed Interim Town Manager Joe Titone and Public Works Department manager John Starkey that the contractor, Southwind Construction, would be packing things up and heading home to Evansville, Indiana, probably by the end of this week.

Officials said the dredging of the harbor, which began in November [2013], will make a great difference in the lives of local fishermen who otherwise would have to be concerned about the possibility of their boats bottoming out due to the buildup of silt and sediment on the harbor’s floor.
