The Coast Guard has suspended its active search at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, for 2 fishermen after they were reported overdue Monday.

Missing are the 25-year-old captain and 50-year-old crewman aboard the 45’ fishing vessel Foxy Lady II, homeported in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Boston were notified at 8:05 a.m. Monday by the captain’s girlfriend reporting that the 2 fishermen had not returned as planned on Saturday night, and the last time she had communicated with her husband was Saturday between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. via text messages. The Foxy Lady II crew had departed Saturday morning.

The last known location of the Foxy Lady II is approximately 15 miles north of Provincetown.

A life raft belonging to the Foxy Lady II came ashore in Saugus on Tuesday with no sign of the fisherman.
