TheDay.com: Friends of Stonington Crew, the nonprofit organization that supports the high school crew team, has signed an agreement to purchase a 1.5-acre site next to Mystic Seaport where it hopes to build a boathouse and run a community rowing program.
The plan was announced Friday night during the organization’s gala at Mystic Seaport to raise money for the team, which has received little financial support from the school system over its 15-year existence.
