A study on how rising sea levels will likely impact the Massachusetts south coast communities of Marshfield, Scituate and Duxbury shows sea levels rising 5 feet in just the next 75 years, according to an article in the Patriot Ledger.
Local residents at a recent meeting on the study gasped when seeing future projections showed roads underwater. The rising seas will affect Rexhame, Fieldston, Green Harbor and other beaches, as well as coastal wildlife, including shellfish, the study showed.
