The Mianus, Connecticut, Chapter of Trout Unlimited reports that more local Trout Management Areas have been stocked, with the Mianus River in Stamford receiving 300 trout, the Saugatuck River in Westport receiving 250 trout and the Mill River in Fairfield receiving 200 trout.
“While the fish are fresh, fly selection should not matter significantly. But best bets are to try Elk Hair Caddis, bead head nymphs and small woolly buggers and streamers,” says the Mianus Chapter report.
