Officers from the Suffolk County Police Department’s Marine Bureau rescued two Long Island men as their boat was sinking in Long Island Sound on Sunday afternoon, according to an article on NorthShoreofLongIsland.com.
Officers heard a distress call over a VHF radio and rescued the men from a half-submerged 16-foot boat 1.5 miles off Port Jefferson, Long Island.
