This Saturday, July 20, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., surfing history will be made at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island.
For 5 hours, the largest collection of rare and vintage surfboards in the world will be displayed.

Private collectors from near and far have lent some 400 boards—each unique, with its own story and representation in the progression of surfing history—to make the event possible. The history of the sport lives in the boards that were created as the sport evolved.
“It is a big undertaking, but we have a system—everything is secure, and everyone gets their boards back afterwards” says Sid Abruzzi of Water Brothers Surf Shop, the sponsor of the event.
