Organizers of New Bedford, Massachusetts’ annual Working Waterfront Festival are seeking volunteers for the upcoming event.
The festival itself will be held September 28 and 29 on the New Bedford waterfront. But volunteers are needed to help with a variety of tasks beginning September 23. The festival is a celebration of the city’s fishing industry, where visitors can walk the decks of a scalloper, see fishermen’s contests and watch cooking demonstrations.
