Burlington Free Press: As temperatures rise, and ice begins to melt across the region, authorities have cautioned drivers against venturing onto the thawing bodies of water.
Two vehicles have gone through the ice [of Lake Champlain] recently, including an ATV in North Hero and a dump truck near St Albans Bay. Lt. Curtis Smiley of the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department said other vehicles were on the ice Wednesday.
