The Vineyard Gazette reports on a harbor seal that apparently became disoriented and wound up on Main Street by the West Chop Lighthouse on Martha’s Vineyard on Thursday, February 20.
The seal, which appeared to be healthy, was noticed by a jogger at around 6:30 on Thursday morning. The jogger alerted police, who wrapped the animal in a tarp and transported it to the water.
