It appears the long-awaited dredging of Maine’s Wells Harbor — threatened recently after word that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service might hold it up for threatening piping plovers — will go forward, according to an article on SouthCoastOnline.com.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service had originally sought a full environmental impact study, which would have delayed the completion date and threatened the project. But the USFWS now says it has all the information it needs for the project.
