New Haven Register: Students and a teacher conducting research in the Cove River area presented their findings Wednesday [October 10] to the Land Trust of West Haven [Connecticut] and said the river is in good condition.
Studies by West Haven High School students and science teacher Kevin Dickson are the latest initiatives taking place at the property, which for years has been the site of archaeological digs, since it had been home to a Native American settlement. The 16-acre parcel, which is overseen by the land trust, was purchased by the city in 2003 and has yielded hundreds of Native American artifacts.
