SeacoastOnline: The Whaleback Lighthouse is visible by day from a variety of shoreline locations in Maine and New Hampshire. But at night, technical difficulties have hampered the light’s ability to shine.

Those who gaze out at the lighthouse from Fort Foster in Kittery, Fort Constitution, Fort Stark and the Great Island Common in New Castle, New Hampshire, or Odiorne Point in Rye, New Hampshire, will notice that its light has been dark in recent weeks.
