Hartford Courant: A Good Samaritan helped 2 officers pull a woman from Long Island Sound on Monday night, police said.

The 24-year-old woman survived but was suffering from hypothermia and cuts, police spokesman William Kaempffer said. It wasn’t clear how she ended up in the water.

The man, city resident Tom Bodine, told police he was walking his dogs about 7:45 p.m. when he heard someone yelling, “Help, I can’t swim,” Kaempffer said.
