NH Bridge Closed 2-4 Weeks After Tanker Collision

Portland Press Herald: The Sarah Mildred Long Bridge will be closed to motor vehicle traffic 2 to 4 weeks because of an accident Monday [April 1] in which a 470’ tanker drifted from its moorings and hit the bridge, according to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
The collision damaged three steel beams that are part of the bridge’s load-bearing truss superstructure, officials said.
