NH Waterfront Celebration

Seacoast Online: Visitors to the third annual Piscataqua Waterfront Festival (held last Saturday) enjoyed today’s waterfront while also taking in its history.
“That wharf originally belonged to the Moffatt-Ladd’s,” said Barbara Ward, director and curator for the Moffatt-Ladd House and Garden. “We really wanted to be able to call attention to the ties between the house and the waterfront.”
Saturday’s festival welcomed visitors to the Moffatt-Ladd House and warehouse to get a sense of that waterfront history and also took them to the Ceres Street waterfront, where products of local artisans were on display, organizations shared information about caring for our waterways, and children created maritime-inspired artwork.
