TheHour.com: The Coast Guard has informed city officials that the railbridge spanning the Norwalk River will remain closed to river traffic until further notice so that repairs can be made to the 118-year-old structure.

The closure will mostly impact the few sailboats with masts tall enough to require a bridge opening that dock upriver. Devine Brothers and O&G construction have also required openings for barge deliveries, but not for some time.
