Nova Star Ferry’s Future Uncertain

Nova Scotia’s government has agreed to give the operator of the Nova Star ferry, which runs from Maine to Nova Scotia, an additional $4.4 million so it can pay its overdue bills, according to an article on PressHerald.com.
That doesn’t guarantee the ferry’s return next season, but it keeps the business afloat for a few more months while the provincial government struggles to find a way to run the service without losing so much money.
