Old Orchard Beach Rescues Far Above Average

Strong currents have caused dangerous swimming conditions this summer, and the number of rescues at Maine’s Old Orchard Beach is already above average, according to an article on BangorDailyNews.com.

On average, Old Orchard Beach lifeguards make 30 rescues a summer. But that number is already at 42 this year with two weeks left in the season.
