Passenger Vessel Grounds in Boston Harbor

Three vessels that came off their moorings in [Provincetown] harbor during this week’s storm went aground on property owned by the Cape Cod National Seashore.

The passenger ship Majesty run by Boston Harbor Cruises ran aground off Georges Island in Boston Harbor at around 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, with no injuries reported. Responding to the scene were the Coast Guard, the Boston Fire Department and the Massachusetts State Police.

The Majesty was safely refloated on Sunday morning at approximately 3:30 a.m.

The incident is under investigation.
