Peconic Bay Jitney to Offer Service Through September

27East.com:The Peconic Bay Water Jitney, a passenger-only ferry service that has been running on a trial basis between Sag Harbor and Greenport since early July, will extend its pilot service through October 1, about a month longer than originally intended, the Peconic Jitney announced in a statement released on Tuesday (July 5) evening.
“We have received an extremely positive response from our Peconic Jitney passengers, and ridership increased over 30% during the month of August,” Hampton Jitney President Geoff Lynch is quoted as saying in the statement, which provided no figures.
