UMass Large Pelagics Center in Jeopardy

The Gloucester Times reports that the University of Massachusetts’ Large Pelagics Research Center in Gloucester is at risk of shutting down in 2014 due to a lack of funding.

Over the years, the LPRC has achieved an international reputation for the study of bluefin tuna and other large, highly migratory species.
