Pete Seeger’s Sloop Clearwater Repaired in Norwalk, CT
November 16, 2011

TheHour.com: Clearwater, a historic environmental education sailboat, is spending a few days in Norwalk as it gets patched up for next season.
The 106’ sloop was built in the 1960s by folk singer Pete Seeger as he despaired over the condition of the Hudson River. According to the website Clearwater.org, Seeger wanted to “build a boat to save the river.” It is a replica of the sloops of the 18th and 19th centuries.
