Plan to Repair Lower-Piscataqua Bridges Completed

Seacoast Online reported that the Bi-State Funding Task Force has finished its work in forging a 30-year plan for the Piscataqua, Sarah Mildred Long and Memorial Bridges, which span the lower Piscataqua River and connect the cities of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Kittery, Maine.
According to Seacoast Online, the plan indicates it will cost about $500 million over 30 years to build, rehabilitate and maintain the bridges, and identifies funding of $400 million.
No word yet on how the bridge work will affect boaters and boating traffic, but we’ll keep you posted.
