Plovers Blamed for Drop in Off-Road Vehicle Revenue

CapeCodOnline: What used to be hard — Chatham and Orleans agreeing on how to manage the off-road trails extending south into Chatham from Orleans’ Nauset Beach — proved to be the easiest item on the agenda Tuesday night [December 4].

The combined boards of selectmen from both towns approved a 1-year agreement unanimously on the trails after just a few minutes of polite conversation.

Deciding how to handle piping plovers and great white sharks proved to be much more complicated.
