Plymouth, MA, Bass & Blue Tournament Set for July 15-16

The 6th Annual Plymouth, MA, Bass & Blue Tournament will be held July 15-16 at Cordage Park Pier.

The family-friendly fishing tournament will kick off on Thursday, July 13, with the Captains & Crew Kickoff Event & Dinner, featuring guest speaker Nick “Sunshine” Tokman of the Emmy-winning show “Deadliest Catch.” The competition will take place on Saturday, July 15, when participants can fish in any Massachusetts waters, from boat or shore, with weigh-ins throughout the day at Cordage Park Pier. A grand prize of $1,000 will be awarded for the largest catch at the Bass & Blue Awards Ceremony on Sunday, July 16 from 4-5 pm.

Additional events include a Food Truck Pop-up on Friday, July 14, the Fish Tales Family Cruise with Nick Tokman on Sunday, July 16, and the Project Arts 2017 HarborFest, taking place Saturday-Sunday, July 15-16.

Registration fees:

Adults: $45

Youth 7-15: $20

Children 6 and under: Free.

Prizes:

Prize categories will be awarded based on age and type of fish (bass or blues), with the top adult prizes of $1,000 and a trophy for the largest bass, and $500 and a trophy for the largest bluefish. Prizes will be awarded at the Bass & Blues Awards Ceremony on Sunday, July 16.

The Fish Tales Family Cruise with Nick Tokman on Sunday at 10 am will provide a fun family experience sailing the harbor area with Plymouth Cruises. Activities for kids and a motivational talk will be included. Admission is $30 for adults and $20 for children. Children under 3 are free.
