Plymouth Rowing & Paddling Race Coming Up

WickedLocal Plymouth: Team Saquish will host the Plymouth Bay [MA] Row for the Rock race for rowers, kayakers and paddlers on Saturday, Oct. 11. All pilot gigs, whale boats, dories, sliding seat, kayaks and other traditional rowing craft are invited to compete. The 3.5-mile triangular race begins and ends at Nelson Beach in Plymouth.

Race time is anticipated for 12:30 p.m. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and all entrants must be registered by 11:30 a.m. Hand-carried boats may be launched at Nelson Beach, but cars must be moved to off-site parking. All boats with trailers must be launched at the State Ramp located behind East Bay Grille (there’s a $5 trailer fee for parking at the ramp).

Race briefing will be held on site at noon. The cost is $25 per person. There is no rain date. Paid registrants may receive a portion of their registration fee towards next year’s event.
