Port Jefferson Boathouse Destroyed in Blaze
March 6, 2013
Times Beacon Record: A boathouse on a dock in Port Jefferson Harbor [New York] behind Danford’s Hotel and Marina was engulfed in flames Tuesday morning [March 5], sending black smoke high into the air.
The smoke, coming from the dock east of the ferry and Mary Bayles Park on East Broadway, was visible up Route 25A and the wind was sending it south over the village, even washing over, though not blocking out, the sun.
