Port Jefferson, NY, Marina Deal Nixed
December 15, 2014

NorthShoreofLongIsland.com: A proposal for Port Jefferson Village [NY] to buy its local marina and waterfront property from Brookhaven Town has sunk to the bottom of the harbor.
Town Supervisor Ed Romaine said in a phone interview Tuesday [Dec. 2] that the town board will not sell the nearly 9-acre property to the village, despite a previous statement that the board would vote on whether to move forward with the $8 million sale before the end of the year.
“We thought it would better to retain that as a town asset,” Romaine said.
