Portsmouth, RI, Residents Angered Over Derelict Boat
October 1, 2012
EastBayRI.com reports on the continuing saga involving a derelict boat in Portsmouth, Rhode Island’s Blue Bill Cove. The boat is apparently shedding pieces of debris, one of which caused damage to the new vessel of a nearby resident.
The derelict cabin cruiser has rested, partially submerged, in the cove since Hurricane Irene, but nothing has been done to remove it. The Coast Guard has stated that the vessel does not pose a hazard to navigation; therefore it is not responsible for the boat’s removal.
