Public Invited to Help Stock Trout in MA

The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife (MassWildlife) will host trout-stocking events in 5 locations across the Commonwealth later this week. The public is invited to meet the stocking truck crews and help put trout into the water.
Wednesday, April 19, Worcester, Lake Quinsigamond, 11:30 AM
Quinsigamond State Park at Regatta Point, 10 North Lake Ave., Worcester. Parking fee waived. Brown Trout and Brook Trout from the Bitzer Hatchery in Montague will be stocked.
Friday, April 21, Plymouth, Long Pond (10 AM) and Little Pond (11 AM)
Tiger Trout and broodstock (very large) Brook and Brown Trout from the Sandwich Hatchery will be stocked. For Long Pond, meet at Boat Ramp off West Long Pond Road at 10 AM. For Little Pond, meet at South Beach Ramp, off Summer Street in Morton Park at 11 AM.
Friday, April 21, Holland, Hamilton Reservoir, 11 AM
Meet at Hamilton Reservoir Fisherman’s Landing, Leno Road, Holland. Brown Trout from the Sunderland Hatchery will be stocked.
Friday, April 21, Hopkinton, Hopkinton Reservoir, 12 PM
Meet at Hopkinton Reservoir Boat Ramp at Hopkinton State Park off Route 85. Parking fee waived. Brook Trout and Brown Trout from the Bitzer Hatchery in Montague will be stocked.
Friday April 21, Pittsfield, Onota Lake, 1:30 PM
Meet at Burbank Park off Valentine Street. Rainbow Trout from the McLaughlin Hatchery in Belchertown will be stocked.
