Cape Cod Times: Public meetings are planned Wednesday in Truro and Thursday in Barnstable to announce the 2015 Massachusetts Vibrio parahaemolyticus (Vp) Control Plan for Oysters, according to the state Division of Marine Fisheries.

Massachusetts is required by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to have a Vp control plan for oysters during the warm-weather, high Vp-risk months, from mid-May through mid-October, due to an uptick in reported human illnesses since 2011.
