The weather-forecasting service AccuWeather.com is predicting a below-normal hurricane season, following a 2013 season that saw the fewest number of hurricanes since 1982.

AccuWeather.com predicts the formation of roughly 10 named tropical storms, five hurricanes and two major hurricanes in 2014, with two storms, either tropical storms or hurricanes, making landfall in the United States. Their report says the onset of El Niño will likely suppress the development of tropical storms this season.
