Rare Orange Lobster Lands in Bristol, RI

Providence Journal: A rare orange lobster has avoided fate from a grocery store tank and now resides at the Audubon Environmental Education Center in Bristol [RI].

Fortunately for the 1-pound female arthropod, an employee at the Stop & Shop in Bristol recognized something about her carrot-orange colored shell was unique: it’s the expression of recessive gene that occurs in approximately 1 out of 30 million.
