Great Bay-Piscataqua Waterkeeper Jeff Barnum knows all too well about the important role these molluscs play in a fragile ecosystem. That is why you will find him and other brave Coastal Conservation Association of New Hampshire volunteers lugging bushels of recycled oyster shells each week.
