Regatta Helps the Disabled Become Boaters
September 13, 2014
For the annual Challenger’s Cup Regatta in New Castle, New Hampshire, the real winners aren’t boaters who cross a finish line first. The winners are everyone who gets on a boat.
The regatta, which has been held for 23 years, gives an opportunity for people with developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders to be crew members and passengers on seagoing boats. It was held on Sunday, September 7, 2014, according to an article on Fosters.com.
