Regulator 28 FS Center Console
September 1, 2010
Regulator Marine has announced the introduction of its new 28 FS center console. Designed by renowned naval architect Lou Codega (designer of the other Regulator models), the 28 FS incorporates a traditional transom bracket set on a hull with an LOA of 27’ 7 ”. Beam is 9’ 5”, making the 28 one of the largest boats in its class.
The 28 has a flush deck for unobstructed, 360-degree fish-fighting access and standard coaming pads. A large, lighted fishbox in the forward deck doubles as a lockable rod-storage compartment. In addition, there is over 270 quarts of fishbox/stowage room in the transom and over 275 quarts under the forward seats. A saltwater washdown comes standard, as does a 33-gallon freshwater system.
Other features include 6’ 6” of headroom inside the console, which contains an electric marine head, as well as the battery and electronics access panels. The roomy integrated seat in front of the console is set low to improve the operator’s forward view and contains a 74-quart insulated drink box that drains overboard. The forward seating area is also set lower, and incorporates integrated handrails in the deck cap that are angled to provide a more secure grip.
At the helm, the redesigned console dash features an EZ View electronics face and Command Link Plus engine controls featuring 5-color LCD displays and push-button start/stop. Other standard helm features include a Super Sport leaning post, glovebox, frameless tempered-glass windshield, recessed footrest with storage below, and a Ritchie compass.
