The first phase of a planned restoration for Martha’s Vineyard’s historic Gay Head Light is scheduled to get underway once temperatures start to rise in April, according to an article on CapeCodTimes.com.

The International Chimney Corp. was the only company that responded to a request for proposals to start fixing the 160-year-old lighthouse, which needs an estimated $1.3 million in repairs.
