By catching the world record 81-pound striped bass, Greg Myerson cemented his place in the striper fishing hall of fame. But Myerson wasn’t content to rest on his laurels. Indeed, he has, among other things, launched a line of saltwater flies featuring patented internal rattles.

These low-frequency-sound-producing devices, Myerson believes, mimic the underwater sounds emitted by crabs and lobsters as they scuttle about the rocky bottom, which in turn draws the interest of stripers—big stripers.

The Sonic Striper Flies are hand-tied for Greg in the U.S. by master fly-tyer and striper fisherman Rob Galante of East Coast Flies, using top-quality materials. Patterns include herring, mackerel, mega mushie, multiple squid and sand eels in sizes from 3  ” to 7 ”. A line of cod and fluke teasers using the same rattle is also available.

Prices range for $6 – $16 per fly, depending on size and pattern, and are available at World Record Striper Company by CLICKING HERE. A portion of the profits from all sales is being donated to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing a national program for disabled veterans with 70+ chapters in the U.S. and Canada.
