Sporting a retail price of $36,995, including a 150 hp Yamaha and trailer, the new Cayman 226 from Robalo is the second in a 3-boat series that marks Robalo’s entry into the increasingly popular bay boat fishing market. The 206 Cayman was introduced last year and has fast become the talk of the waterways. The flagship 246 Cayman is slated to hit the water in early spring 2014.

Measuring 22′ 6″ long and sporting a stable (and trailerable) 8′ 6″ beam, the 226 Cayman, with its dry-riding freeboard and 15-degree variable-deadrise bottom, is well suited to a wide variety of water conditions. Engine options up to a 250-hp Yamaha are available.

Tournament anglers and recreational fishermen alike will appreciate the 226’s distinctive lines, high-quality fit and finish and extensive fishing features. These include twin 30-gallon live wells, lockable rod storage, wide gunwales and dual casting decks. Additionally, the 226 is one of the few boats in this size range that features a fully enclosed walkdown compartment that serves as a head with the addition of an optional porta-pottie.

Rigged to meet the rigors of the saltwater environment, the 226 features a Kevlar-reinforced hull, stainless steel hardware and a ceramic-cored transom for added strength and durability.
