RI Fishing Tourney Honoring Soldier Marks 10 Years

An annual fishing tournament honoring a fallen serviceman from Tiverton, Rhode Island, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in September, according to an article on EastBayRI.com.
Staff Sgt. Christopher Potts died on Oct. 3, 2004 — his 38th birthday — while conducting traffic control operations in Taji, Iraq. The fishing tournament held in his honor, hosted by the Aquidneck Island Striper Team, begins at noon on Friday, September 4, and ends at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015.
