RI to Host Free Fly Tying and Fly Fishing Workshops

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) is hosting a series of free fishing fly-tying workshops for novice and experienced fly-tiers and a fly-fishing clinic this month. Below is a list of upcoming classes.
Monday, June 19 & 26 | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Coventry Public Library, 1672 Flat River Road, Coventry
Tuesday, June 20 | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Glocester Manton Public Library, 1137 Putnam Pike, Chepachet
Wednesday, June 21, 28 | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Greenville Public Library, 573 Putnam Pike, Greenville
Instruction on freshwater angling will be included, and all equipment and materials will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own materials, if they prefer. Introduction to Freshwater Fly-Fishing
Saturday, June 17 | 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Addieville East Farm, Mapleville
Families with children 10 years and older learn about fly-fishing equipment, fly-tying, fly-casting, and the best fishing areas across Rhode Island during this six-hour workshop.
