Rinker Captiva 216 BR
July 27, 2011
Rinker’s new Captiva 216 Bowrider is a roomy sportboat that performs well with modern 220- to 225-hp V6 inboard-outboard power, although larger engines are available.
The hull carries its wide beam forward of the helm, providing commodious seating and excellent stability, despite its relatively deep-V configuration. The bow offers lounge seating for 2, with storage beneath and inside the twin consoles. The helm and companion swivel seats have dry storage built into the hull sides, and the helm seat provides a flip-up bolster. A long, deep in-sole storage area can hold a wakeboard with binding.
A 220-hp MerCruiser or 225-hp Volvo 4.3-liter, fuel-injected engine provides plenty of power for a top speed in the upper 40s, with efficient cruise in the 20s and low 30s.
