Sailboat Crashes into Woods Hole Eel Pond Bridge

Cape Cod Times: The Massachusetts Environmental Police is investigating what caused a sailboat to crash into the Eel Pond drawbridge in Woods Hole on Saturday.

The sailboat’s mast snapped in two as it hit the closing bridge at around 2:00 p.m. Saturday. Video captured of the event and shared on social media shows the boat’s mast hitting the bridge while it was trying to make its way out of the pond to Great Harbor.
