Sailboats Rescued in Vineyard Haven Harbor

According to the Martha’s Vineyard Times, 2 boats had to be rescued after breaking free of their moorings in Vineyard Haven Harbor during last week’s big nor’easter.

One boat, the Witch of Endor, came to rest against the Steamship Authority docks. A crane from Tashmoo Boatyard was deployed to remove the boat’s masts.

Meanwhile, the cutter Rachel Saunders washed ashore between the ferry terminal and Owen Park. A Sea Tow vessel pulled the off the sand on Tuesday.
