Yacht Club “Santa Robbery” a Hoax

NBC News 10: East Providence, Rhode Island, police have arrested a woman who they say made up a story about a man dressed as Santa who robbed a local yacht club bar.
Crystal Johnson, 37, of Johnston, was charged with falsifying a police report. Police said Johnson told police that a large man in a Santa suit walked into the East Providence Yacht Club on Sunday night, took a shotgun out of a sack and left with about $1,500. Johnson works at the Yacht Club as a bartender. She told police that she fled out the rear door of the bar and ran to a nearby business to call 911. Police said the money is still missing.
