Scenes from Wickford, RI
September 27, 2013
A few weeks ago the New England Boating TV crew descended on Wickford, Rhode Island, on the western shore of Narragansett Bay. We spent 2 action-packed days exploring this charming village by land and sea, getting to know the local waters and the local boaters.
In the upcoming episode of New England Boating TV, which airs Monday (September 30) at 7:00 p.m., we’ll take you on a tour of the well-protected harbor and show you where to get a slip or mooring, where to launch a trailerboat, and where you can tie up for a few hours while you go ashore. We’ll also check out some of the shops and restaurants in town, including the Beach Rose Café and Tavern by the Sea.
Also in store is some fluke fishing (spoiler alert: Parker bags a doormat) with Capt. Dave Monti, kayaking on Mill Cove, a visit to the Seabee Museum and even some SUP yoga (a first). Oh, and let’s not forget our meet-and-greet with the state’s ugliest dog. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this episode! And to further whet your appetite, here are some photos taken during the shoot.
