Scituate, MA, Seeks to Expand Harborwalk
December 23, 2010
WickedLocal Scituate: Scituate, Mass., Harbormaster Mark Patterson hopes to make Scituate Harbor more pedestrian-friendly by expanding the already existing Harborwalk to Front Street.
Patterson and Assistant Harbormaster Jill West said the expansion, which costs $240,000, is funded through the Community Preservation Act and private donations by Dick Ladd.
The concrete sidewalk, which is meant to look like the sidewalk in front of the harbormaster’s building with speckles of sea glass, will be expanded 500 feet from the Lucien Rousseau Landing to the southern portion of Cole Parkway at Front Street, said West.
